time flies like superman, it’s my third year here in adelaide.. and i’m proud to say i’ve had the good sense to move into another room.. i’m still in the same house, on the same level actually!
BUT. my new room is almost twice the size of my previous one.. and that makes me extremely happy

i’m rather happy with my shoe racks.. call me little miss neat!

my huge bookcase from ikea, only $39! and that mirror for $10 (:
ikea is like my new best friend.
i miss everyone at home.

the sumptuous meal my mommy prepared. dad helped too!

i sneaked this photo when my parents were laughing at how i have to take photos of everything
i can’t remember why my brother has that dubious expression!

taken at the airport, sitting at our favourite wall. my girlies are the best (: even if the airport was a stopover to their mahjong session tsk tsk. oh! regina! yunho says you’re his favourite and asked if you have a boyfriend. haha.
this chinese new year was very fun.. the family travelled to my granddad’s hometown, bagan pasir, which is a kampong/fishing village. good times!

right opp our house.. according to my dad.. there’s a pig farm down that tiny lane. and they used to swim in the sea just next to the farm. dirty!

to the left of our house.

that’s my daddy sweeping the water into the drain after the rain. so that we wouldnt have to wade around. (okay a little exagerrated heh)

to the right.. my mommy was sitting there so i got her to look melancholy for me (:

after our decorations! me and my brother climbed on the side fences to place the oranges. and he’s sitting on the right.. desperately trying to look like a kampong boy!

our new year’s eve dinner.. we were all trying to jump into the photo

my many cousins. and my happy granddad and grandma.

this is the old people photo.. with my parents and uncles and aunts.

on new year’s day we all pray at the three temples in the kampong. the wooden planks have been there since forever.. not very steady but very fun to walk on! me and my brother were discussing what we would do if we fell in. eew!

my eldest cousin.. looking like he might jump

oh to bring in the new year (so to speak), we always set off firecrackers. very loud! i took a video and my brother stood behind me covering my ears. so sweet!
and really. what’s chinese new year without a little gambling?

the little kids playing mahjong..

because the adults were too busy setting up their own gambling den! notice a tiny space near the door? that’s mine.. i just excused myself to photo some evidence

my brother, acting cool after we’ve had dinner. he tried to ride one of the scooters/bikes with my dad pillon-ing, and teaching him. then he accelerated when he was supposed to brake and fell. being gambling season, my aunt bought the bike license plate number and won first prize! so she treated us to dinner at this restaurant abt 30 mins away. pretty exciting eh?

my cousin pleading with his mournful eyes. he was being “harrassed” by the below 1o kids cause the rest of us disappeared masterfully.
hopefully we’ll spend more time back there.. we’re the talk of the town (cause it isnt very big haha) when we go back and we did have plenty of fun! like i said.. good times!
