a warm welcome

to the newest members of my house (: everyone applaud!

the tv and the dvd player. we also changed the layout of the living room to make them feel more at home. well basically i moved most of the furniture while alison sat there eating her yoghurt.. we decided to make use of the shelves for pots and pans and my OCD kicked in, meaning i cleaned everything i cld and washed the pots and pans too! was gonna clean the stove too but stopped myself when i realised that we were gonna cook for dinner. so smart i know (:

on thurs night (whee start of the long weekend!) we went for dinner at glenelg to celebrate chinhowe’s birthday in advance since jessie’ll be in melbourne this easter weekend..

sushi boat: it wasnt half bad actually but i didnt like the tuna and kingfish sashimi eep.

tonight the bds 2 people (we’re year twos!) organised a bbq to celebrate the march babies.. there’re actually loads in the whole cohort of 73 (i think) but this was for the international students. i spent my whole day preparing food! 

the pretty cupcakes alison helped me bake (: we were grocery shopping at coles and were on the way home when i realised i forgot abt the cupcake cases.. so i had to walk all the way back just to get these!

just to show you how small they are, here’s my phone nxt to it! nxt week we’re gonna make buttermilk pancakes and tiramisu.. can’t wait!

saturday night

at the airport was an eventful one! this actually happened rather long ago (about 3 weeks already!) but since im waiting around this draft shall finally see light! and also cause jh scolded me for not posting photos! so ungrateful! 

i digress. you see, i was never meant to travel light.. my 2 luggages were therefore small but very heavy. i might have a future in the pack-as-much-as-you-can industry. anyhow, when i went to check in, the evil counter guy refused to let me through and insisted that since mine wasnt a student ticket i had to either pay almost $500 for the excess or ship it.

shipping takes about 10 days i need everything in my bags! i looked as panic stricken as i could and tried asking the guy to let me bring everything but he was MEAN.

so we said we wld repack and check in again. took out some stuff and checked in the bigger one and hand carried the smaller one (which was still overweight but nobody really checks). of course i went to a different counter this one was much nicer! i also implied that i only had one luggage (: i was rather relieved! though my jeans are left at home ):

if that wasnt enough jh baby the late queen was LATE as usual. so when she called i said i’ll see her in 9 months and wave from behind the glass. she came running to me and started crying! how could i not cry too? i think we’re drama mamas everyone found us so amusing! especially edwin, who took a video -_-

and of course not forgetting my family, what would i do without them! please tell my mommy she has the prettiest smile (: i wish my brother were here, though he would be a messy housemate and make me clean up after him argh. my daddy doesnt like to take photos much he thinks he looks much better in his yester-years.. cant convince him otherwise!

okay that’s about it for this post i cant exactly rmber what i was gonna include in this post. just that i promised to email everyone my long story and i figured posting this entry would be good enough! (: tmr’s friday i cant wait for the weekend!

my sunday brunch

was sashimi and sushi! ever since i was taught to eat sashimi ( which is rather recently! ) i’ve been in love with it! so when me and alison saw that sushi train was having its 4th anniversary promotion yesterday, with all plates at $3!, we decided to take away some sashimi for today (: it wasnt as good as it looked though! i think the best i had was at minori, go when you’re in the mood for some good sashimi.. but be prepared to pay!

im reminded of my greedy boyfriend when i eat japanese food. he shares my love for it! (: 

i also decided to finish my unpacking, yes took awhile i know, change my bedsheets, do my laundry, bascially a little spring cleaning! not that my room was un-livable to begin with but here’s a peep into my townhouse!

 

my bed and my balcony. today was 39°C omg and there was a power failure right after i collected my clothes from the dryer. how lucky am i! i was gonna nap cause the heat is sleep inducing and i was tired from the spring cleaning BUT the air con was not working cause the village didnt pay its power bills! okay maybe they were warning us about using too much electricity *shrugs

all the kitchen gadgets alison had to eat her sushi during the power failure otherwise it would be gross! but i wasnt worried enough to drink all my milk (:

the living room! with the two comfy couches and ironing board. the iron is so dirty! when i ironed my white top it squirted brown juice all over it! i had to rush over to the sink to wash it all off. i can think in times of crisis haha.

alright that’s about it! i actually have a draft sitting around about the night i left and the story i promised to email to everyone. that’d be for my next long weekend k? tmr’s the adelaide cup dog race or something and its a public holiday! so happy!
